Mocks Service

Practice for onscreen assessment

The Pearson Edexcel Onscreen Online Mocks Service is a service for schools offering International GCSE and International A Level exams and the papers are marked by Edexcel examiners where after the results are uploaded to ResultsPlus for detailed question level analysis.

Mocks are essential for exam preparation, to help students understand what to expect in the live exam and support teachers to identify where to focus revision. This new service will lighten the load, provide consistency of marking across the full cohort, and results analysis will support student progression and teacher professional development.

How the Mocks Service works

The Pearson Mocks Service provides schools with Pearson Edexcel International GCSE onscreen exams for use in mock examinations. The exams are taken onscreen by students, marked by Pearson examiners, and the mock results are uploaded to ResultsPlus, the post exam results service, for item level analysis. Please note that the paper-based mock service is not available for schools outside the UK.

“We didn't have to mark the mocks, we had all of their results collated for us, we could access scripts, along with the marks that had been allocated. In terms of knowing what the grade boundaries were like and the quality of the student responses, the online mocks helped us immensely...”
